                        more details.

                                   hailie

Hailie was born on 25th December, 1995. Marshall adores his daughter and points that out in his interviews.
Marshall would like to be a better father for Hailie than his father Marshall Jr. was for him. He wants to make her a movie star.
Since the divorce, Marshall and Kim share custody of Hailie. She lives with Marshall and spends most of her time with him. Hailie is having a half sister from her mother Kim.
Now Hailie sings in the song "My Dad's Gone Crazy" from Eminem's latest album, "The Eminem Show".
He changed the cuss words of "The Eminem Show" and made a version especially for her.
Marshall and Hailie recorded the track "Doe Ray Me" with Obie and D-12, dissing Ja Rule.

                         Marshall's half brother.

Nathan (nickname: Nate) was born on 3th February 1986 to Debbie Mathers-Briggs and Fred Samara Junior. He and Marshall have a very close relationship and they spend a lot of time together. Marshall takes him along to several events, for example the Spring Blings 2001 and the Detroit Music Awards, where Nate accepted the award for Marshall. Nate now lives with Marshall.
Cleanin' Out My Closet"... And Nathan's growing up so quick he's gonna know that your phoney

Marshall's mother.
Debbie became pregnant at the age of 17 and married her boyfriend Marshall Bruce Mathers III. The marriage only lasted for a year. Thereafter she had several relationships. She had a baby (Marshall's half brother Nathan) in 1986, the father is Fred Samara Jr., who denied that it was his son and was sued to pay alimony.

The relationship between Marshall and his mom is very bad at the moment: in 1999 she filed a lawsuit against her son (10 million dollars), because he named her in an interview a 'drug addicted alcoholic and vagabond'. Now Marshall has to pay Debbie 25,000 dollars compensation for pain and suffering. The relationship between the two is still bad.

Marshall's ex-wife.

Eminem and Kim met each other very early in high school. Their relationship was identified with a deep love and hate, that lead to steady ups and downs. In December, 1995 their daughter Hailie Jade was born, and in the summer of 1999 they married. The marriage went sour and on July 4th, 2000 an event happened which was the last straw: Marshall saw a man (a server named John Guerra) kissing Kim in a parking-lot in Detroit . Marshall went to them and hit the man with a pistol. Marshall was arrested by the police and story was published in the press.
Kim was desperate and felt mortified. Shortly after that she tried to suicide by slitting her wrists. This was the first time Marshall filed for divorce. But they reconciled and started the last attempt to save their marriage, and failed: Kim filed for divorce in March, 2001. Kim got 475,000 dollars to buy a new house and they share custody of Hailie Jade.

Marshall's uncle.

Although Ronald (Ronnie) was Marshall's uncle, he was only two months older than Marshall. They grew up like brothers and you can say without overstatement that he was the only relative Marshall really loved. Ronnie committed suicide on December 13, 1991 at the age of 19 by shooting himself in the head. The so-called reason is supposed to be his girlfriend at this time. It took a long time for Eminem to cope with the death of Ronnie.

Marshall's grandmother.

Betty Kresin is Debbie's mother. She's got six children from three different men, the oldest one is Marshall's mother. Em's favorite uncle, Ronnie, was her son. Eminem lived at his grandma's house for a while, but the relationship between them has spiraled downward. The reason: Eminem wanted to release Ronnie's demo tapes, but Betty disapproved and wouldn't allow it. Since this time, they even don't talk with each other.
